I can’t believe I forgot this in my previous post about the games in 2011. My most anticipated game of this years releases has to be Battlefield 3 right now. Amazing graphics backed up by solid gameplay, looks like this can’t go wrong!

Gears of war 3 is the third instalment of the Gears of War series, and the final part of the current story arc. I absolutely loved the first 2 parts and have high hopes for this. It was originally due for release in April 2011, but sadly has been moved ahead to September, but I actually prefer that by far over developers releasing half finished games. So we’ll just have to be patient for a bit longer.

It’s predecessor Oblivion is probably the number 1 single player game when it comes to how many hours I spent playing it (closely followed by Diablo 2).
Just looking at the trailers and screenshots that have been released so far got me so hyped up for this. Once again you get dropped into a large open world that looks absolutely gorgeous. The class system has received a complete overhaul and the AI has been updated greatly. Out of all games coming out this year, Skyrim is possibly the most anticipated one for me personally.

Developed by ID Software (Doom, Quake) and published by Bethesda softworks, that also brought us the Fallout and Elder Scrolls series. Rage is the only game on this list that doesn’t have a predecessor, but the trailers certainly caught my attention. I actually get a bit of a ‘borderlands feeling’ when looking at the environments and style of the game, even though it looks a lot different graphics wise, I think this will be one of the best newcomers of 2011.

I’ve been waiting for so long for a sequel to Diablo 2 to come out, and finally it’s nearly here! Especially last year when I was playing Torchlight, which is also a similar ‘top-down view’ action RPG, I got really excited for the next part in the Diablo series. Even though the release date still has not been officially announced I hope it will be released somewhere later this year.

Since I’m a huge fan of both shooters and RPG’s, Mass effect is the perfect game to satisfy me in both areas. Combining both a great story and great gameplay, this will certainly give me lots action packed and fun hours.
For the third time in a row Volkswagen completely dominated Le Dakar, scoring an impressive 1-2-3 victory again and thereby filling up all 3 podium spots like they did last year.
Ever since Henning was just a few years old he has been interested in drawing and painting, and already made his mind up about becoming an illustrator when he was still at very young age. At the age of 16 he enrolled into a Traditional Art school and after graduating two years later he started working in the advertisement industry. Only nine years after that he already became an Art Director of a medium sized advertisement agency.
In 2003 one of Henning’s hobby projects offered him the opportunity to switch over his carreer into computer game development, moving from his hometown Holmestrand, Norway to Athens, Greece where he still works today as the Art director and partner of Aventurine S.A.
Over the years Henning has won multiple awards, done a lot of freelance work for many big names and written articles, tutorials and workshops for several magazines (Including 56 articles over 35 issues in ImagineFX Magazine)
